The SDSCO Board met in Mitchell on March 13th and appointed Quint & Debbie Pease to serve in the chair position and Tammi Chaney to serve as secretary until these positions can be voted on by the members at the Annual Meeting this fall that will be held in conjunction with the Birth Conference.

Two board positions were filled as well including Paul & Anita Levijoki and Todd & Nadine West. It was decided that when a husband and wife team served on the board that they would share a vote. We would like to find several more board members that could represent other parts of the state. If you would be willing to serve in this capacity, please contact any of the current board members.

In order to make it easier for everyone to attend the board meetings it was decided to hold meetings after 6:30 pm on Fridays and to cut down on the number of face to face meetings. Quint Pease will be looking into free conference calls as a way to hold more frequent meetings. If you have any information about this, please share it with Quint.

The Board also decided to invite supportive doctors, midwives, & legislators to take part in board discussions as Professional Advisors. Advisors could provide valuable input, but would not have a vote on the board, thus maintaining SDSCO, Inc as a consumer group.
