The Legislative Workshop held in Vermillion on April 22 was a huge success. Approximately 20 adult midwifery supporters from South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa came to learn the ins & outs of getting midwifery legislation passed as presented by NARM Board
Member, Ida Darragh.

Since the workshop, the SDSCO board and many other members have been working to implement the plan laid out by Ida. Many of the ideas she talked about are available in a handbook that can be downloaded for free at the following address:

The workshop wasn’t planned as a fundraiser, but after all expenses, SDSCO made about $300. This was because of the generous donations of those who attended.
