1) Pray for wisdom for the board of directors as they
work to complete the drafting of our bill and present it to potential sponsors.
2) Pray for the board of directors’ families & their health especially Jenny & Mary who are facing special challenges at this time.
3) Pray for volunteers to fill our committees and District Contact positions, so that we can accomplish even more.
4) Pray that God will provide at least 1 or 2 dedicated people to spend time in Pierre during the legislative session to lobby for our bill.
5) Please prayerfully consider taking one of our empty positions.
6) Pray that the hearts and minds of our legislators, governor and Health Dept. will change in our favor.
7) Pray for the Nebraska Friends of Midwives as they continue their efforts.
8) Pray for women who are pregnant (including chair, Mary Nelson) who are trying to decide if they should give birth out-of-state to have the assistance of a midwife or deliver at home unattended.
9) Pray for 4 year old Ian Stewart who is undergoing testing & treatment for a mass recently found on his brain. His mother Susie was our District 14 Contact, but needed to resign during this difficult time.
10) PRAISE! for an increase in our membership. We have 29 paid members, an increase of 5 since March.
11) PRAISE! for all the generous donations and
fundraising efforts that have taken place since our last newsletter.
12) PRAISE! for new volunteers coming forward to help, including: Ronda Kvigne & Rosanna Kulla joining the Fundraising Committee, Lee & Kari Rettig joining the Communications Committee, and all those who have volunteered as District Contacts.
13) PRAISE! For the success of our Legislative
Workshop.
